Afterwards, we had a meeting with a local realty development firm based in South Ho Chi Minh City. The myriad cranes and construction equipment located in the south in tangent with the plans that we saw at the meeting was quite impressive. In a decade or so, Ho Chi Minh City will be an even more sophisticated and interesting place to visit.
My evenings have been very fun - exploring the night life in Ho Chi Minh City has been a unique experience. At night, the city is rampant with tourists and flooded with social lubrication. I will not quickly forget my experiences. That is all for today. If you would like to know something specific, feel free to comment at the bottom.
Hi Nick! It's Luan from Lehongphong High. I google "Nick Vukmer" and guess what Google took me here! =)
ReplyDeleteIt seems facebook is not working for me right now. I will try adding you again later.
It's great to hear you're enjoying your time in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a dynamic city isn't it? 7 or so million people, the motorbikes kingdom and the night life... I strongly agree with you this is an interesting place to visit.
There's exactly an animosity between Vietnam and China. There are about 600k Chinese or Vietnamese - Chinese here. My mom is also a Chinese. =)
Okay I have to go now. This is my email address, so if you have anything to talk about, please don't hesitate. I would be more than glad to share with you.
Have a great day! The raining season is coming to town so take a poncho with you. =)

oops sorry dude I wasn't right about the meaning of "animosity". I thought it meant "close correlation". Yes I do agree there is a little bit "animosity" between the Chinese and the Vietnamese, but the Chinese community here in Ho Chi Minh City fits in really well and they have been for a very long time, even since the foundation of HCMC. They live mainly in Cho Lon, composing of District 5, 6, 8 and partly Tan Binh District, which lie in the west of the city. (Lehongphong is also located in district 5. I'm living in district 7, south of HCMC). Okay, I really have to go now. See ya! =)
